Carrie Haggart Farm
Carrie Haggart is the founder of Out To Pasture Farm & Rescue, Inc. located in rural Connecticut which serves as an animal rescue, rehabilitation and hospice facility for animals in need. It was her lifelong dream to provide a sanctuary for these animals and to give them the care required so that they could celebrate the rest of their lives in comfort.
She obtained a degree as an Assistant Veterinarian at Leicester College located in Worcester, MA and then continued her education at Central Connecticut State University earning a Bachelors degree in Business. She has worked for a veterinary hospital and was the owner/operator of a grooming facility for over 15 years.
With the support and guidance from various veterinarians and animal shelters she has obtained the knowledge in traditional care giving, emergency procedures and separation-anxiety techniques. She also utilizes homeopathic medicine, acupuncture and massage therapy.
She currently devotes herself full-time to the care of her charges. To give them the adequate care and love required she limits their number to eighty. However, she is in contact with a network of caregivers who will help locate a home for all others.
